The Thomas S. Wootton High School Parent Teacher Student Association (PTSA) is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit association that prides itself on being a powerful voice for all children, a relevant resource for families and communities, and a strong advocate for public education. This local PTSA is organized under the authority of the Maryland Congress of Parents and Teachers, Inc. (Maryland PTA), a branch of the National Congress of Parents and Teachers (National PTA). Becoming a member of the Wootton PTSA also provides you with a membership in the Montgomery County Council of PTAs (MCCPTA), the Maryland PTA, and the National PTA, with all the rights and benefits that those organizations offer. Membership is open to anyone who wants to be involved and make a difference for the education, health, and welfare of children and youth.

Your membership fees are the primary source of PTSA funding, which allows us to provide free services to: (1) the Wootton community (e.g., weekly Patriot Newsletters and monthly seminars/webinars during the general meetings); (2) the Wootton students (e.g., student engagement activities); and (3) the Wootton teachers and staff (e.g., teacher professional development grants and staff appreciation events). As a PTSA member, you will receive a printed copy of the Parent Teacher Student Directory, along with access to the online version (available through AtoZ Connect). You will also receive discounts exclusive to PTSA members (e.g., mock SAT/ACT test and graduation bus). The National PTA also provides savings on everyday purchases through its Member Benefits Provider Program, which offers a range of discounts from brands like AARP, Hertz, LifeLock, MetLife, and Quicken Loans.
